You may not realize it, but choosing your yoga mat is very important next to what type of yoga you should do. Yoga mats come in different sizes, thickness, texture and colors. Here are some tips to choosing your yoga mat.

Source: Wai Lana

1. Choose A Good Yoga Brand
What’s a good yoga mat brand? There are many out there but some I would recommend are Gaiam, Wai Lana or Lululemon. Going to your local department store may not yield good quality yoga mats so look around first.

2. Choose What Type Of Yoga Mat
Some yoga mats are thicker for cushioning your body and impacts while others are thin. Some are bouncy while others don’t bounce back fast. If you have back pain then getting a yoga mat that is a bit thicker will help inhibit back pain. Thicker yoga mats are also good for the enthusiast yoga person who is a little destructive, or has a dog who likes to chew things.

3. Store Your Yoga Mat Wisely
Rolling up your yoga mat and leaving it in that position will not fare well in yoga class when the ends are curling under. It’s best to store your yoga mat as flat as possible. Placing objects on the mat is also not recommended as this might cause damage to your yoga mat.

When looking for a yoga mat make sure you test it out by standing on it and rolling it out to see how long it is. Lay on it to see if you fit on the yoga mat. Hopefully these tips will come in handy for the newbie yoga person!

It has become mainstream now and people are wearing it as everyday wear and even maternity wear. It is no wonder as the yoga wear is stylish, comfortable and easy to slip on.

Here are some few facts about lululemon yoga wear:

lululemon fabrics
Lululemon is dived into high impact, low impact and for outside. For high impact fabrics the common thread is that they pull the moisture away from the body. This allows your body to stay cool during yoga classes or running. Low impact fabrics feel natural against your skin and use cotton as a base. Outside fabrics are light and weightless, are wind-resistant and moves to your body when running.

lululemon features
Women clothing has interesting features. Some common features are gussets, cuffins, emergency hair elastics, and pockets.
Gussets is a diamond shape pattern that is inserted between the legs as means to inhibit shorts or pants from riding up.
Cuffins are simply built in mittens that are attached to long sleeve wear. It removes the added bulkage of mittens when you go for a run in the cold.
Emergency hair elastics are uses as zipper ties for many jackets. Simply take them off and wear.
Pockets are strategically placed on your yoga wear so that it does not interfere during your gym time, running or yoga stretches. Pockets are placed on the back and therefore out of the way.

Next time you shop for work out clothes, get lulu instead!
